Is Xcode a good IDE for C++ and Java?
-
I really like Xcode because it simplifies a lot of work in term of configuring compilers and such, compare to netbean and eclilpse with cygwin. My questions are, (for people who are experienced with c++ on Xcode), 1). Is there any missing features in the compiler of Xcode for C++? 2). I know that Java is a bit old on Xcode, for instance it doesn't support generics. Can I upgrade the java compiler on Xcode? Thanks!

Answer:
Xcode can work with GCC which as g++ is the most complete implementation of C++. It can also work with gjl a GCC front-end which handles java, so yes. You can work with both well on XCode.
