How To Fix Jvm Error 517?

Can't get on vuze because of jvm?

  • Earlier I asked about the jvm being broken and throwing an exception. Well, I fixed the broken part by uninstalling java, deleting all files, and going to the start menu and typing "regedit", which took me to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/then SOFTWARE/ then MICROSOFT/ then INTERNET EXPLORER/ then ADVANCED OPTIONS/ and finally JAVA. I erased everything, rebooted, and the error boxes were gone. However, when I tried to get on my favorite site, Vuze, that infernal box popped up saying the jvm may have thrown an exception. I uninstalled Vuze and reinstalled. Still nothing. I'm thinking maybe my jvm may be overloaded, but I'm far from a computer whiz. Can anybody out there help? I need simple instructions if possible. Oh, one more weird thing: I went to Speednet and the speed test worked fine, but when I tried the Ping test the jvm exception box popped up again. WTF? PLEASE, if anybody can help, you'll have my eternal gratitude. I've been trying to fix this for four days now and my brain's starting to liquefy! Thanks.

  • Answer:

Well, vuze requires jvm(java right?) to work. Reinstalling java might fix the problem: http://www.java.com/en/
