How can I make (Office Home and Student 2010) the default and get rid of (Office 2010 Starter)?

  • After opening (Microsoft Office 2010 Starter) on my new pc and using it, I then later installed (Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010). Now when I open an excel program it opens it with the (Microsoft Office starter) and not with the one I bought. How can I get rid of the (Office 2010 Starter) and make the (Office Home and Student 2010) the default? I can however open the (Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010) and then open the excel program and that works fine.

    delete the MS Office 2010 Starter from your programs
