How did you get started in Graphic design?

How to get started on blog design?

  • I am an avid blogger, and I am really interested in starting some blog designing. I design my own blog now, but I'd really like to enhance my skills, and maybe someday do it as a small business. I guess I just don't know where to get started. What do I need to be successful at blog design? Thanks for any help!

You need to decide, do you want to become a professional blogger or a designer ? there are marked differences in both, a designer would need to look into doing a web design and development course etc whilst a professional blogger would need writing skills, knowledge in their subject and maybe a little knowledge in marketing either way, I am sure you could find a forum that will be able to help you much better than yahoo answers.. do a search for writing forums or / and web design forums

Use whitespace to your advantage, don't use confronting fonts (The more standard the better), keep it simple (Big nice buttons are the top of the webpage directing users to the most vital things, I.E. Blog, Contact, About.) and well... what else can I say apart from quote more first principles? Keep it interesting; Borders are interesting, Well placed pictures (with borders) are interesting, blog placement is not interesting but it either makes it a pain or a joy to read.
