Can I domain map without wordpress?

How Do i make My Wordpress domain Dot com ?

  • i installed wordpress on a free web host....they gave me some random domain name ...and i bought a domain from go daddy . com ....go daddy has domain forwarding in it and i used it but its just masking my wordpress link...so no matter where i click it will still say on top (mygodaddy.com) domain ...in any pages on my site....so what do i do ???? basically i want my wordpress link to fully function within my godaddy domain name ...please give me spacific details if you can

    I would not forwarding the domain from godaddy to your wordpress blog if you already bought a domain. 1. Ask godaddy what their dns servers are. 2. Once you know the dns server, go to your free webhost, and choose add domain somewhere. 3. Add your godaddy domain in this server, and change the dns (from godaddy) 4. Once the dns is set to godaddy's server, it will be automatically having this domain.

You need a web host supporting wordpress. Don't choose godaddy because of http://www.nodaddy.com You can keep your domain with godaddy and get it hosted with another web host.
