Can you checkout using google on a merchant website?

Best website checkout method?

  • I’m launching a company that sells a very specialized product. Part of this process will include building a flash based website. We would like the ability to sell our product on it. This site is not our primary means of doing business yet, but that may change in the next few months depending on how the publicity works out. My question is what is the best option for selling a single item? I’ve looked at using PayPal, but all the nightmare stories I’m reading are kind of scaring me. I’ve also looked at Google checkout but wasn’t too impressed either. What other options do I have? I don’t need a full blown shopping cart type application as we’re only offering one product.

If you're also selling brick and mortar, you'll have a merchant account. Use that for your web checkout. (Talk to the people you have your MA with, as far as adding the web account, and the software they want you to use.)

you should just go to google then go to ebay sign up then after that, you would want to click on something that says to upload a product and then just press sellnow or press sell it.You could upload just one thing or more.please make me have the best answer.i am only 10 years old.

If you are just starting out and don't expect high volume, I would just go with paypal or Google Checkout for now - it's quick and easy. You can always graduate to something else if the site becomes successful. As far as building a flash based web site, it is really a bad idea for several reasons. I would stick with a standard HTML text/graphics web site (and add some flash images if you like).
