How do I add more depth to my pixel art?
-
I am working on making a game in XNA utilizing pixel art. Now while most of my art that I have created is pretty good, I kinda wanted to do something to make it "pop" a little bit more. I was thinking of doing something like the game "last breath" from ludum dare 48. With the way he made his game, the game was definatly pixel art, but had a little more feeling to it, rather than a plain throwback to retro games. any suggestions would be nice thanks. :)

Answer:
Shade it with pixels. i always find it to have more depth and colour when you do so. Hope this helps. it's relatively easy to shade too.
