A problem with text with pc games?

  • i have a text problem when i play any of my games, it has stray lines and such. ive downloaded the most current graphics card driver and it still didnt fix it! and it only happends when i play games! its fine web browsing and such. and ive tried different video settings in the games also. http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/4845/aion0001bdq.jpg look at the large text in the upper middle screen and tell me what you think? here is a screenshot with world of warcraft doing the same thing look in middle of screen at the big text....thats what it should look like BUT look at the text in the chat log in the lower left hand corner!     It looks like you might have a corrupted font maybe? It is a curious problem you have. The strange thing is that this happens on two separate games... You might try changing the font or the size of the text and see if it clears up the problem. If it does, you might have a problem with a particular font at a particular size, but that would be even stranger as the system just "adjusts" fonts based on a template..

I had an FX5950 ultra which did the same for a while then overheated. Another was a Matrox Parhelia P750 PCI which presented the problems but no overheating issues. Graphics card could be out-of-date, no shader 3 support or not dx9 compatible.
