How to modify a sales page to accept promo or discount code?

Basically, I need a code that will do the following: Code could be a Javascript or any programming language that will do the job. Step 1: A text field that will take the promo code and a submit button. Step 2: After submit button is clicked, a new web page will be displayed The new web page is a new sales page with the discounted price I just need a code to do step 1 and step 2

It depends on what language the sales page is written in? PHP, ASP, ASPX You could do it with Javascript but it will be a lot easier to write the code in the same language as the rest of the script.
