How can a teen start his own website?

I need to know how to start a free website?

  • I need to know a couple of things on how to start a website... I recently experienced a friend of mine who has commited suicide, and it's started me to start a website to help people who feel alone, etc. Can you please help me? 1.) How do I start it? 2.) How do I set it up? 3.) How do I advertise it, or make it known?

    1) You either pay for hosting, or you get a free site like yoursitename.hostersite.com OR you pay a web designer to set it up. 2) You either use a template, learn HTML, or pay a web designer to make it. 3) Google with automatically ad you to their database but there are other programming tricks to advertise you. well the easiest way would probably be using google sites. they have a ton of easy to use layouts that are easily personalized, and best of all, they're free. i'm so sorry about your friend... i really like your idea too. google should lead you through how to set up your site, i recently started one, they're not hard. and they look good. i'd probably advertise through facebook or twitter or something like that maybe?
