Best CHEAP video editor?

  • I'm looking for the best, CHEAP video editor. Nothing really fancy, just a few effects(or more), able to put font on/off the video, and to cut the video to put it in correctly. Something that can handle widescreen. I have a Windows Vista PC if that information is needed. And I don't like Windows Movie Maker, the quality is too low. I have a FHD camera, and I have to convert my videos the lowest quality for it. (My camera's format is .mov but I can easily convert it to anything else) Basically anything that will be 480p on Youtube. (:

Depends what you mean by 'cheap'. If you're looking for cheap as in the under 100 quid zone, then Sony Vegas Movie Studio and Adobe Premier Elements. But if you're looking for CHEAP CHEAP you won't get anything decent.
