How do I compile my Python program to a .jar with Jython?

Can Python be used to program anything?

• I know quite a lot of Python and really like it, but people always say "this language is better" or "that language is better" and I'm just wondering if you can program anything with Python because it seems to me that it has the capabilities to program anything, you just need to know how. I just find when I try to learn new languages such as C, C++, Java, etc, it's really frustrating to have to re-learn simple principles and re-learn how to program things I can already program in another language.

  what do u mean program anything? it is a program language of course it can! maybe you should check this out to feel better about it http://www.udacity.com as i recall they are using python to build the software for self driving cars so yeah you can use python to program. well every language is build with some advantages against others for example php is used for building web sites but that doesnt mean u cant program other stuff with php it just isnt that practical... my guess would be that yes you can programm anythink but it will be harder to program some stuff than it would be in a different language.But i truly believe that if you know how to program u wont have any problems learning another language.
