How to efficiently invalidate cache?

How could I write a simple cache in windows form applicataion using C#?

  • I need to implement a cache system with following specification: Implement a system that will provide a simple cache (no eviction policy, no time-to-live etc) to store objects of a custom define type called X. A sample instance of the class X will be about 200Kb in size. The cache should be hand coded. No cache frameworks are allowed to be used. The cache should notify certain objects about a change in the cache’s state occurred (add, remove, change of an element). The cache should allow objects potentially interested at run time in cache’s status changes to add/remove themselves at runtime. The internal implementation of the interested objects in unknown. Therefore it is not possible to determine if a registered object will process the information about the state change or discard it. However the change must be propagated to every registered object. Does any 1 have any idea how should it be done in windows based application?
