How to split a video by openCV?

Is it possible to extract a video from a .rar split without downloading the first part?

  • Okay. So i want to download a video It is split into 7x100mb .rar files Things is i only want to download the second half of the video file i.e. (the video in .rar files ,5,6 and 7) I know you can download the parts 1,2,3 and 4 and join them together to form a broken video file - but how to do this with rar files 5,6 and 7?

  • Answer:

You would have to also get the first few bytes of part 1 and somehow copy the header into the broken 5/6/7 video. I don't know how you'd do that, though. It would be easy if you knew how big the header is, then you can just append the parts on 5/6/7 to the header.

you need something like winrar. then you just right click the rar file, and select "extract..." http://download.cnet.com/WinRAR/3000-2250_4-10007677.html you usually won't be able to run a video unless you have all the .rar files.. even though they are in different zips they usually complete each other. EX: all 8 will just be 1 .avi file. Download all parts, extract it all into the same folder, and it should work correctly.

Theoretically, it depends on the format of the video. AFAIK, there is no format in which this could work (unless the video is also split into separate files ie part5 contains one complete file, as does part6, etc.)
