How do I access full tracks on last.fm?

Using MS ACCESS database, how can I list ALL my CDs and all the tracks, release dates, etc?

  • Is there a website that can help me with ideas, or an example to copy? I took a night school course on ACCESS 2000 about ten years ago, and learned a lot, but I have forgotten much. I have already started my design sheet with columns: Artist's name, CD title, Song, release date, length of track, track number, etc. I have about 800 CDs.

  • Answer:

I am huge fan of MS Access. However, for this task I would just downnload iTunes (It's free!) and copy all the cd's to it. It will organize everything for you. Plus you can use the iTunes DJ to create a random playlist. I have quite an extensive and eccclectic music collection. You just never know what that old DJ is going to play next. Love it! I actually sold most of my CD's on eBay since I can use my ipod anywhere and everywhere. Just a thought.

there is a program called Professional tag editor. install and run it. you will get an idea of the kinds of fields you might want to include. it is VERY extensive (and slightly buggy), and won't want to include everything that it does because it's a fairly hefty amount of fields and categories. It is an Open Source Software program.

well, create a list or import a list if you have it, then set up a query. Check out Archive.org for the latest in readn material, you'll be able to find Access Database information in .pdf format.
