How to make my own custom designed shirt?

I got the idea of makeing custom shirt for some friends and my self and to make a buck off of?

  • i want to buy it so me and m friends can have cool designs on our shirts with out paying a bill for 60-70 dollors from 2-3 shirts etc. so im a fresh man school can go F it self but i also got the thought me and my friends could make a quick buck my school has 2K+ students who spend average in cash 5-15$ a week on candy etc. so why not have a custom shirt with a nice design on it you know so when its all done and paid for it would cost 3700$ for a few yards of vinyl and the cutter soft ware and the press it self witch it would take 5$ prfit from a shirt that took 4$ to make sell it 9-10$ depends on size you know and the amount of vinyl. it would take 702.5 sales to cover it or less if i make 6$ profit. so thats my thought i just want a honest opinion on it.----im 14 by the way so i think this is well thought out for a freshman.

please. for the love of god, pay attention in school. it looks like you need it... although i like the effort you seemed to have put in, your idea is not new and its not genius. why dont you just but sams club candy or something and sell it cheaper then vending machines... thats been successful in the past and according to your school snack consumption it looks surefire!

You probably won't make money on t-shirts. There are lots of sites out there that let you design your own t-shirt and sell it. tshirthell, threadless, cafepress, bustedtees, snorgtees, customink, and on and on. Most also allow you to put your design on coffee mugs, posters, stickers, stationery, and more. However, if you're looking for a heat transfer machine and the paper, I found http://www.proworldinc.com/ and http://www.bestblanks.com/heatpress.html If you mean silk screening, you'll want something like http://www.silkscreeningsupplies.com/screen-printing-press

sure. yeah. whatever. you can buy blank t shirts from a wholesaler for like a buck per shirt. that way you can decrease the sale price and increase your profits.

i was doing about the same thing in my screen printing class and loved it as first, but after the first month or two i did not find it fun to do anymore. If you are into that go ahead, but realize that if you do not want to anymore, how are you going to get your money back
