PHP: Caracter problem when migrating from xml to mysql?

I am using a special parser to migrate my xml files to mysql database. in my mysql database ı tried utf-8 unicode-ci and ut8-general-ci but still i got the same error in my xml this word in the “heart” of in mysql in the “heart†of How i will fix thisfor transfering correctly.

Have you tried starting at the link below? PHP has a built in XML parser. Also the Ltrim and Rtrim functions might help you cull the garbage before and after the string that you are importing.
