Where do i paste the code i was given into my website?

do you have access to the source code files for your website? I keep a mirror image of my website on my PC, edit and tweak that, and then upload it to my web space with an FTP app. If you used a program to create the website, then there should be a way to paste in snippets of code, but you will have to refer to the program help files - or tell us YA folk what the program is?

Open the source of your web site using your editor or a text editor. If you are using a GUI editor, there should be a way to view the source. Click the cursor at the correct spot in the code and paste in the code provided for the ad.
Sounds like you bought into AdSense without knowing HTML! Do you have an HTML file you're using for your website? If so, try somewhere after < body > and somewhere before < / body > ...but that's not very nice of me to say that. Tell you why. You need to know how your HTML is structured for your page. Yeah, that's where it goes, but, if you want more control over WHERE on your page the ad shows up (top, middle, side, bottom) you need to know more about the HTML *between* < body > and < / body > ...and I don't have time to read it for you!
put it in the root menu.. then the add will show every where. or create a new html box on the page if you want it to show on a perticular page....
