How to create a generic View for different Models?

Can Autodesk Maya be used to create or animate game models?

  • I would like to know if the 3D modeling program, Autodesk Maya, can be used for games. I have a project I'm working on, and I need some models and animations for the models. I'm going to a camp to learn how to use Maya, so any tutorials aren't needed. I only want to know if Maya can be used to make and animate models for a 3D game. (Ex: Half Life, Halo) Thanks! PS: If you could tell me some program that would be used for actually importing the models, that would be great. Or, if Maya is all that is needed for model importing, then tell me how. Thanks again!

  • Answer:

well yeah it is quite possible. i am not a pro but got an interesting answer. maya- use it if you are artistic 3ds max- use it if you are logical but i've heard so many people saying that 3ds max is better for games but creating models i'd say maya is good. also i've heard that maya is very much difficult. so i am just a noob and dont want to make this as my profession though. i will learn maya for fun. i'll only stick to basics. anyways good luck for your future of animation and game creation. have fun.
