What computer programming jobs can i get without a degree?

Other than being self employed i can't think of any.

I would advise you get your certificates. If you get those then you may not need a degree. The tests are generally multiple choice but they aren't easy. If you know your stuff they aren't hard either. Once you get enough of them you can get a job. Such as c++, java, python, php, etc etc. Get as many of those as possible. The more certificates you have the better a shot at employment. Which is why you can get hired at a very young age if you just take all the tests and pass. The tests aren't cheap but they are cheaper and faster than going to college.

I would imagine college teaching jobs would be ruled out by not having a degree, but no other programming job strictly speaking requires a degree. Some of the best programmers I know, some working for well known software companies, do not have formal qualifications. That said the job market is currently strange, many companies impose strange requirements on candidates that include things like having a high-end degree. If you can demonstrate that you can develop software to a high standard, that should trump a candidate with a fancy degree but no idea of how to apply it to creating a decent application.

It is very difficult to get a programming job today without at least a 4-year degree. Every job posting that I see lists it as a requirement. I was able to find a job in the field in the 90s without a degree, but since then, I've gotten my 4-year degree and half way to getting my Masters, just so I can compete with the new talent coming up the ranks when I apply for new positions.
