Game Programming or Game Art?

I want to make video games, where should I begin?

• Hey I'm soon going to be in high school and a few years back I realized working in the game industry was what I wanted to do. I've done some basic research over the years and played many video games (first game I've ever seen was prince of persia on the pc when my dad first let me sit on his lap at like age 1 month or so) I'm good with computers and I'm not bad at art (though I still wanna get better at it) I wanna learn animation, programming, and so on. I don't know exactly what I want to do when working for a company as far as that goes but the question overall is this: I want to make games and try all the aspects needed to make a basic game and venture forth in whatever it is I like best along with giving consideration to everything else. Any idea how to start?

  Usually, team build video game... unless you want to target at small game, like those for iPhone and other device. You might want to learn programming, 3D, animation, texturing, etc... those are all different aspect of game making. We don't need more game designed by programmer or vice versa. Being fluent in many domain will help you, but try to find a place to start
