How do i get adobe flash player 10 to work with firefox so i can view youtube videos?

Yesterday I wasn't able to view youtube videos on firefox and it said there was an update for 3.5 so i updated it. I still can't view videos no matter how many times i try to install adobe flash player 10. Whenever I try to view a youtube video it says "please install latest version of adobe flash player." I have uninstalled it then installed it and it says that the installation is complete. I even go to the test page to see if it works and it says it did, but still i can't view youtube videos. Also what would it be called under add-on plugins in firefox?

After firefox version 3.5.3 it checks for the latest flash version, if it fails that check you should update. If the update does not work try to uninstall adobe flash player from the “add/remove programs” list(i assume you use windows). This can be found in the configuration screen. After that try to install flash the normal way.

Had the same problem when I updated to Firefox 3.5. Had to take my laptop into Best Buy because I couldn't down load ANYTHING at all. They told me that 3.5 has issues and fixed it..I thought. A few days later I had the same problem. I dumped firefox completely and use another browser.
