• For example, I wanted to go into the google homepage, but my web browser includes the google toolbar, so I accidently typed the website address into the google toolbar and the website opens up. However, before the website has finished loading (meaning it is still in the process of loading), I click on the back button, (which brings me back to the previous web page). So I entered the website but before the page finishes loading, I go back. In that case, does the google server registers me as having visisted the website but does it record me as going back to the previous website immediately? Does it keeps some kind of time log? What about the website? Does it register me as well? The webpage hasn’t finish loading yet, so will the website register an IP address?   Well this is a very complex question. Google keeps track of all searches and as long as you enter the page something is load and the ip can be saved. For the webserver the page is hosted on (say its mine and can be hosted with yahoo, godaddy, 1&1 and so on) they have logs and I am sure it would be logged. The server doesn't register ip thats what your internet service provider (isp) gives you when you log onto the web.
