What would you have to major in to become a video game designer?

What do I need to become a video game designer?

  • I want to be the one who comes up with the ideas and or the one who designs the concept of the games like, the environment the characters and all the thing that are put in the game (if that's the same thing) Ive been playing video games since I was four and I want to make sure I have all that I need to become a good game designer. I have my own ideas and Im a team player so working with others wont be a problem. I know computer science, creative writing, and and Graphic design are useful in this field and I thought of an AUDIO video class (then again that one could be just for fun lol). I also know MAth is needed so can anyone tell me what types of math are need and/or can come in handy. If any game designers can answer help, it would be very appreciated.
