How to make a great free website?

  • I am trying to make a personal website but I can't afford to buy a domain now so I'm thinking about some free services. I've found some such services giving free domains to make a free website. But, what I want is ad free, very nicely designed (I can do good designing, but need suitable tools for it!) website. And, the most important, I don't want that "Make a free website with *********" ad at the bottom (footer) of my website. Please help me. It's very important. Best answer will surely be chosen. Thanks a lot in advance. :-)

    I've been using Web Starts which has worked very well for both my business and personal use. There are a lot of template designs to choose from or you have the option of building the site from the ground up yourself. The free package comes with a Web Starts domain name and plenty of instructional videos if you're not familiar with the product. You don't need a domain name you can use your ISP name. My web page is hosted by my ISP for FREE. But I don't have a unique URL, I use my ISP's domain. My web page is http:it.flexinet.com.au Flexinet is my ISP. Now for building your web page. That can be done for FREE also. You already have all the tools you need. Wordpad or Notepad. Any Text editor and you can build any web page you want. The Catch: you need to LEARN HTML and CSS coding. www.w3schools.com has free lessons and guides. This is an example of HTML Code: <html> <title> my web page </title> <body> <p> This is my first web page </p> </body> </html> copy and paste the above code to wordpad and save it as HTML not txt. then any web browser will open it. Email me if you have any more questions about web pages. My web page was built using Microsoft Front Page, but I could have just as well done it on notepad. Front Page made it easier. bill
