Where i first went was: http://www.webopedia.com/ But if you want to know about programming i would go to bucky on youtube : http://www.youtube.com/user/thenewboston?feature=watch Here is some pretty advanced stuff like Uni/College computer science : http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-00-introduction-to-computer-science-and-programming-fall-2008/video-lectures/ Back to the basics how stuff works tells you pretty much anything about how something works and this is the link for computer hardware: http://computer.howstuffworks.com/computer-hardware-channel.htm

Youtube is a great place to start. But nothing beats building your own computer yourself.

the best way to learn about computers is to get yourself an old tower computer and take it apart and back together while learning as much as possible about every part through the internet. there are many forums and websites dedicated to informing people on these parts. another idea is to look at custom built computer companies (like ibuypower.com) and assemble what you think is a good computer (usually the higher the price the better the performance) with each part look around online to see which is better and why. if you are in a rush to learn these things try to find yourself a tiger direct or similar computer store and ask one of the sales people to tell you which are the best parts for you and who knows maybe you'll get a great computer with them.
