C++: Is there any way you could play music files in a console program?
-
I'm making this small text based game and the technical stuff is almost finished so now I would like to see if I can spice things up a bit. I thought it'd be really neat to be able to play some music in the background while the player is playing the text-based game. Is there any way I could make the program automatically open the sound file when it starts? Some class (under a free license) available for download somewhere, maybe? My OS is Windows XP and the compiler I use is Dev-C++ 5.0 beta 9.2 (4.9.9.2) with Mingw/GCC 3.4.2: ► http://www.bloodshed.net/dev/devcpp.html
