Would attempting to jailbreak void my warranty?
-
long ago i tried to jailbreak my 4.2.1 iPod touch but wasn't successful. My iPod is still unjailbroken, did that attempt void my warranty?

Answer:
In general, if an Apple employee (say, at an Apple store) has no way of knowing that you ever tried to jailbreak, then you're fine. Even if you completely jailbreak, and then you restore, they would have no way of knowing. If you ever do jailbreak, always restore before bringing it to an Apple store for help or something like that, because if you don't they will void your warranty.
