How to put DVDs on iTouch?

I want to put an eBook on my iTouch?

I would love to put an eBook on my iTouch but I'm not sure exactly how I should go about this. I have several books on my computer in .pdf format but that isn't compatible with my iTouch (2nd/3rd Generation). What format should it be in so I could put it on my iTouch & how could I change it's format? Is there any way I can do this that doesn't involve me getting an audiobook? I've heard that there are some apps available in the iTunes store that could help. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to do this for free, so unless there's a free app that could help or something, I'm afraid that one of their many applications won't help. Any help, this is way out of my league. Thanks!

You can convert them to an itouch compatible format using Stanza for PC. I don't remember the exact file type you need to save it to but play around with saving to different formats and you should hit the right one. You will also need an ebook reader app on your itouch. Stanza's app is the best I've used so far.
