PSP help?

MY PINK PSP CHARGER SLOT BROKEN): HELP?!?!!?

• Hey, on vacation to england, my mom bought me a pink psp, from a friend of hers. ive had it for less than a year. i'm back in america, and i LOVE using my psp , i use it more than my itouch, which is surprising. I bought an american charger for the uk psp, and all is good. UNTILL... Yesterday i tookk out the charger, and with it was a metal peice, kind of looked like a needle. Well i iknew something was wrong because things arent supposed to come out of your psp, unless its a UMD or something. So now it wont charge, and my psp is dead. I dont want to buy one of those psp batttery chargers, because im not sure if they will work with a uk psp phat? and i dont want to buy international.. anyone tell me any advice?? MUCHLY appreciated ;)

  haha ignor the other comment, NDS's are for little kids. I say you just call sony they are usually very helpful with their customer support.
