How do I fix a PSP Slim's broken screen?

How would I know if my psp screen is broken?

• Hi, my little brother's psp(the original one) is broken, i beleieve he dropped it. The problem is when he turns on the power, the green light goes on but nothing comes out in the screen, is it just the screen thats broken or is the psp is entirely broken? is there someway to fix this without having to send it in for $100? thanks.
