IPod Touch 2G and Blackjack II or iPhone 2G ( old one?

Would you buy an iPhone 2g dock?

  • I know that probably noone has an iPhone 2g anymore, but I have a whole bunch of iPhone 2g docks which I could throw away because I already made back the price they cost me to buy a while back. I was going to list them on craigslist because one person once bought one from me to use with their iPod touch, it barely fit but I'm guessing it charged it because even tho it diet fit all the way in it kinda did. So I'm just wondering, jus out of curiosity, would you have any use yorself for an iPhone 2g dock? And would u buy it for $5 each? I'm not trying to sell them on here, it's jut a research question out of curiosity.

  • Answer:

I'd list them on eBay with a buy it now of $5 each, and I would charge 5.50 priority mail shipping. That way, you can use paypal's automatic postage purchase, which gives you and your customer free tracking information. The docks will easily fit into a priority mail flat rate envelope. Meanwhile, it adds to your feedback score. Every little bit helps with eBay feedback. I'd look to build it up if I were you, because of your birthplace, which will probably soon have the embargo lifted. You could probably do rather well finding things in from there and selling them in the US on eBay. I suspect there are some things there that are just unobtainable here in the states. You're also someone who's smart and gets things done, so I expect the import selling could build into a nice side income supplement for you. Not to mention making travel a tax deductible past time. Meanwhile, on the docks, if you can't move them on a $5 buy it now, list them 1 at a time starting at 1 cent, no reserve. You have nothing to lose, since you're going to toss them anyway. If you won't, I will be happy to do it instead (I'll gladly pay for shipping to get them to me.) Besides, never underestimate the value of the ultra low ball starting bid, no reserve. I've sold at least 4 cars for more than $40,000 that way, several went past $60,000. When it starts incredibly low ball, there is always somebody who will bid, and someone else that will bid a penny more. With all the low bids, the number of bids shown gets large very quickly. When people see a large number of bids, they assume that lots of other people know you're legit, so they join in. Not only does it add legitimacy, makes your stuff look like there's a bidding war going on. Just make sure not to list the new one before the old one is paid for. Good luck, hanzie.
