How do I set up wi-fi on my blackberry curve?

How to set Blackberry to only use WIFI?!?

I just got a Blackberry Curve 9300 yesterday but I dont have free browsing unless its connected to WIFI. Is there a way I can set my BB to only use WIFI because I dont want to use the mobile browser then get charged for it. And how do I know if its connected to the mobile browser or the WIFI? Thanks!

put into airplane mode and activate wifi - at least that is what you do in an iphone
