IPod Touch 2G and Blackjack II or iPhone 2G ( old one?

About the "Apple Peel 520" or similar iPod touch accessories...?

• So, there's thing for the iPod touch called the "Apple Peel 520" by a company from China, Yosion Technology. It is made to look like an iPod touch protective case, but it actually gives your iPod touch the ability make/receive phone calls and send/receive SMS, Much like the Sprint ZTE Peel but this is less bulkier and lets you use an actual SIM card and not use 3G for making your calls. I just bought my iPod touch 4G. I didn't buy an iPhone because of these and I thought that it would be much cheaper if I just bought this later on. The problem is that the Apple Peel 520 has very limited information around the internet. But I do want to know more about this very interesting device... (I've watched almost all youtube videos with connections to this device..) What I want to clarify the most is its quality and the features of the device. We all know how China products can be... And I just want to make sure that I'm not burning my money in vain. (Although it is not that expensive.) I've once read that it has issues in receiving text messages (it receives them in chinese..) Some people who bought the device have issues with the batteries it comes with.. Some say that the case broke a week later and the device has really cheap material (typical in most China "clone/fake" products) and yada yada, so many complaints, etc. AFAIK, the Apple Peel 520 is the first of it's kind. Meaning, this thing is kinda like a prototype of some sorts. So I won't blame it if it has a few flaws because it's bound to have one. Also, since China likes to "clone" A LOT, I'm kinda predicting that better, cooler-looking clones will be available if you have a little bit of patience.. (And I'm right, apparently) So, does anyone know any reviews of this product, potentially the most awesome accessory/add-on to the iPod touch ever? How does it perform? How's the quality? How long does the battery lasts? Or if someone who is here has one, can you give me a review of the device? Does anyone have knowledge of similar products or "clones" of the Apple Peel 520? Right now, I only know 2 products similar to the Apple Peel 520..   I'm from china, but I don't recommend you buy the Apple Peel （苹果皮 meaning the skin of an apple） it is an nonofficial accessory so it will need your ipod jail breaked. and after that, an assorted software is required. using that software to imitate an UI likely the iphone. your sim is gsm or wcdma? both of these are supported because in china we all use these. I saw an internet video testing the apple peel. obviously it has very poor sense of control. and lots of bugs and crash. but if you don't mind these and your ipod already JB. maybe try. if you have any question, contect me [email protected] ^-^
