Why does my psp does not turn on and the battery works?

My PSP battery says it's out of power and turns off when the battery is fully charged? Why?

  • Yesterday I updated to Official Firmware(OFW) v6.39 from v.6.35. I also got a brand new battery that wasn't used. When my PSP i on the charger it works great. But when it's off the charger it will work fine but once i search anything about the PSP, it will freeze for a moment then give me the died battery icon then turn off. I can still turn it back on though, and i will be able to do other stuff. -It's not modded -It fits into place and STAYS there -The charger voltage output is the same as the battery voltage input Is this a new security update because it only does this when looking at homebrew or accessing homebrew or searching up anything about the PSP on its browser?

  • Answer:

WAIT!!!!! i got this experience before!! if your cfw is permanent.... then open your psp then press select then select "reset device" then, you're problem is solve! don't have any cfw or permanent cfw? turn off your psp... then hold select, start, square, triangle let see, then open your psp, let see if it will restore default settings your system update didn't cause that problem sorry i don't know how to use idioms hehehe
