How do I fix the scratches on my iPod screen?

Would Apple fix my iPod touch 4th Gen 2011 (White)?

• I got a White iPod touch 8gb 2 weeks ago but i didn''t get it from the Apple store because there are no Apple stores where I live (Timaru) It has a deep scratch on the front that is visible from just about any angle. Its not a crack its just a scratch, I dont know how it got there but to be honest i am pretty upset. I didnt get a screen protecter or anything with it. The back of the ipod is really scratched aswell but they are not big scratches. I got my ipod touch from the warehouse because they were giving a Philips wall charger for free with it. I still have the receipt and the box and other stuff. If i sent it to a big city where there is an apple store would they fix the scratches or should give it to warehouse? I noticed on the back of the receipt it says - CUSTOMER REFUND POLICY 12 month money back guarantee with proof of purchase. Product must be in a resealabe condition unless faulty or defective RESTRICTIONS & EXCEPTIONS Product covered by warranty Hygiene product Copyright Infringement Product.   Yes, Apple warranties products no matter where they were purchased... but they'll see the scratch, say that it was because of user abuse, not manufacturer defect, and charge you for a new screen (about $90 plus labor). You'll probably have the same issue with the store because iti s not in "resealable condition [sic]". You can most likely fix it yourself, but like I said, 4th Gen screens are usually about $70-90 on ebay.
