Why does the psp not recognize a disc?

How to successfully put music in my PSP?

so i connected the USB cable and the Mini-B connecter to my PSP and then went to settings,clicked on ''USB Connection'',but it won't work.my computer then tells me something like ''one of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it''.so i can't put music in my psp yet.why it gives me this error?how can i fix this?should i insert a disc or something?please help!

Same thing happened to me...What u shud do now is that find a usb cable that is same like a psp's...i mean,there shud be a usb cable with a mini-b connecter...u can look if there is same kind of usb cable in your camera/usb hub/or a memory card reader is the best...it definately has one...now connect your psp with this attached and you r done!! thanx
