How do I set up email on my blackberry curve 8520?

My blackberry email won't work... HELP??!!!?

I've reset my blackberry curve 8520 due to it running slow. But now I can't add email to my device, everytime I got to set up email it says.. "Your device had a problem connecting to the server" then it has 2 boxes, one saying retry and the other saying cancel... Please help me, thank you!
