Should I jailbreak or shouldn't I?

Ok so i have a 3GENERATION ipod touch. its updated to the new 4.2.1 version. I have a few friends whose ipods are jail broken and i want my ipod to be like that but i have a few questions. 1. whats the safest software to jailbreak? they all used redsnOw? 2. Does jailbreaking an ipod slow do the ipod's speed in performce and loading things? 3. I see have to restore it before jailbreak, but isn't that deleting everything off my ipod so when i do jailbreak i won't have anything on my ipod again? 4. Does jjail breakingmy ipod make my ipod more open to virus on the internet or is it still as safe as it was before. 5. I can ccompletely restore my ipod by restoring it even after jail break? 6. if i can restore it to Original verison, after jailbreak will there be any differences from before jailbreak? 7. Does it take up memory on ipod to jailbreak? 8. Is it worth jail breaking. 9. After i jail broken it i can still PLUG it in to my computer to update songs or won't itunes accept it until its restored again? 10. How many apps are there for free? 11. Is all the major apps usually for free. Thanks

Well you have LOTS of questions but I can help. 1. I prefer redsnow, because thats just what I use and it works perfectly fine! 2. Yes, I have noticed my Ipod going slower after jailbreaking it, but you have to decide if the slowness is worth all the other positives. 3. No, you will have everything you did before after jailbreaking you ipod, you have to sync everything again, but thats no biggie. 4.Not that I know of, It does not make it more open to viruses. 5.Yes, if you do not like the jailbreak, then you can completely resotre it back to normal without the jailbreak on there anymore. 6.No, there will not be any change after you restore it again, it will be the same as before. 7.I am not sure if it takes up memory 8.It depends if you like your Ipod to be fast, you youd rather have Cydia and have all those free apps out there, they are loads of fun! 9.Yes, you can still update songs and work it with itunes. 10.There are TONS of apps for free, and most of them are apps you have to pay $ for in the app store. 11.YES, YES, and YES!!
