Why won't itunes sync my photos to iphone?

I used to have a droid 2 but i got an iphone recently and i wanted to transfer my pictures from my droid to itunes. I transfered the pictures to my computer but when i go into itunes to sync the photos, the folder that they are in is empty, but if i look at that folder through my computer it shows up with all the pictures. Please help me.
