Hi Cliff, In order to unlock your unit and to be able to use it with another provider you will need to have a SIM lock code (also known as NCK code, or Network Control Key). This can only be provided by the network operator the mobile phone is locked to. Sony Ericsson is contractually prevented by operators from providing these lock codes to consumers. T o enter the NCK Code you get from your operator: 1. From the navigation key please press to the left once. 2. Please press "*" two times. 3. Please press to the left once again. 4. You have entered the [PERSONALIZE] menu. Please choose [NETWORK] and press "Select". 5. Please enter NCK Code. -Annie
