How can you buy apps with an itunes card?

I bought an itunes card and put it on my account but it wont let me buy any applications. Every time i want to buy and application with it, it doesnt give me the option to buy it with the itunes card (it only wants to take it off of my credit card which i dont not want it to do) Please help me!

i thought u use the card at checkout... try buying it and checking out and look for something regarding itunes card if not make sure the funds are ADDED to your account
