DSi White or DSi XL Bronze/Dark Brown?

What is going on with my R4 on my dsi xl?

• my mom found two R4 cards and i never new what the heck they were till i went to there website and then i new it was for roms and music and all that... so it did not work on my old ds lite or on my dsi xl (dsi anniversary edition) its just says its having a problem and to go to dsi shop for help... and then i read more things in the website and i had to update it witch then i did. i updated the one with wifi instead of the one that says game shak or something like that but it stil didnt work. it works on my old ds lite but it downloads games too slow and its sort of broken and well i want to use it on my dsi xl if possible. if i do the same thing with the one without wifi would it make a difference? and my dsi xl is updated to version 1.4.3 i read that that does not matter but i guess it does... can anyone help me because i really want to use so i can get free ds games please!

  Original R4s, as in the real R4s and not knockoffs, haven't been made in years and only work on DS and DS Lite systems. They're not updated to work on DSi/DSi XL. You probably need one that's made for DSi to get it to do anything. New R4s for the DSi/3DS exist but they're actually just clones of other cards, usually Acekards. Chances are the ones you have are probably too old to work on DSi and you need to just go buy an Acekard 2i or something because R4s are old hat and there are better cards these days.
