Is this a problem with my PSP or my charger?

PSP problem. is it my battery or charger?

  • i have a usb charger thingy but whenever i use it the orange light appears for about 5 seconds and then disappears. i also tried taking out the battery and putting it on charge and seeing if it works but the only thing that happens is that a green light appears and then it turns of again. sooo should i get a new battery or a new charger?

  • Answer:

I had the same problem happen to me with my psp 1000. I replaced the battery and it works fine. I used the original home charger into the regular charging port though. The slim models can charge using the usb on the top of the system but ive heard it only charges when its already powered on in the usb charge mode.

well seeming that you took the battery out and then tryed the cord... It looks like you need a new cord... Try to stray away from usb ones as they are not very reliable (seen in this situation) and the ones you plug into the wall using an outlet are more convinent per say... So the answer is.... You need a new cord.

I had problems like that. It's the charger and of may also be the psp defect. My own psp sometimes had a orange light and turns off. Wait for maybe five minutes and see if the psp is charged go to settings then system settings and then to battery information. Check what the charge level is before doing everything to see if it's charging.
