I have an I-phone dilemma.?

Okay hear me out here... It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago, and my parents suprised me with an Iphone gen 2. As happpy I was, I left it untouched because I had a trip overseas for two weeks. Now that I have returned, I have heard about this i-Phone gen 3, and its out on friday in australia. As it is now impossible to return my i-Phone gen 2, i want some opinions if i should privately sell it, and buy the new i-phone OR simply keep the gen 2 and use it. I want true opinions and why you believe in it! ;D

well the new iphone out is all about performence improvement nothing else faster internet and faster app proccessing other wise they are pretty much the same
