  • Answer:

mp4 is a media container which can be encoded with many different codecs, and PSP just supports some special codec mp4 videos, for the psp folder 100MNV01, you need to convert your mp4 videos to simple profile mpeg-4 codec mp4 files, then can put in 100MNV01 folder to play on psp, or you can follow me to use a better solution, the best video format for PSP is mp4(avc/h264 video, aac audio) video, convert any videos to the best psp mp4 videos, you can use RZ Video Converter, it can convert any videos or audios between different formats, such as convert any videos to the best psp AVC mp4 videos, then you should rename the converted avc mp4 file name to MAQxxxxx.mp4(xxxxx are any five number, such as 12345, etc.), then place the MAQxxxxx.mp4 to your PSP folder(MP_ROOT/100ANV01/MAQxxxxx.mp4), you can create this folder by youself on PSP. You can yahoo or google search and download RZ Video Converter, hope it can help you.

PSP supports only MP4-AVC video, not general MP4 video, please make sure your video is compatible with PSP. Assume your video has the right format, you just need to copy the mp4 video to the "Video" folder in your psp memory stick, done. If you don't have the video folder, just create it by yourself. If you want to know how to convert DVD and video to PSP compatible video, I'd recommend this step by step guide to you, it works pretty well for me. http://www.freedvdripper.net/guides/put-dvd-video-to-psp.html You can visit PSP official website to learn more info: http://www.psp.com Hope it helps.
