How to update my BlackBerry Curve 9300 to OS 6?

I just recently bought by BlackBerry Curve 9300 and it came with the 5.0 Bundle 1602 OS. However, more recently I saw another BlackBerry of the same model with OS 6. I know that my model of BlackBerry is capable of being updated to OS 6 but whenever I check if there are available updates to my phone in the BlackBerry Desktop Software, it says that there's no available update. How or when can I update my phone?

ive updated my 9300 to os6, make sure you have the blackberry desktop on pc from www.blackberry.com/desktopsoftware then connect phone to pc using usb lead, on the desktop click device and then updates, if for any reason os6 is not there, then type into google search "os6 update for blackberry 9300"
