Can I charge my BlackBerry Curve while it's on?

Blackberry curve wont hold charge?

• got a blackberry from a friend and a couple of months ago for the couple of months i had it it worked fine. a couple of days ago when i was talking on the phone my battery died so i was charging it while i was on the phone it didnt charge while i was on the phone so i put it on charge for the whole night when i woke up battery was still in the red as not charged it was saying low battery even though i had it on charge all night..my friend said it may need a new battery so i bought a new battery and when i put it on charge it still wont charge not even a little bit or at all. please help

  It may be the charger port or the charger. You might wanna go see what the real problem is, because you might just have to buy a brand new phone.
