Is it possible for a blackberry storm to ring when i receive a text or email while inside holdster?

My profile is set to ring in my holdster for all notifications but for some reason it will only ring for a voice call and a text or email will not ring any help?

Make sure that the profile that you set is the correct profile that is in use. If that does not work then you may want to get the device examined at your local retailer.
