My blackberry curve won't turn on?

My Blackberry Curve 8310 keyboard light wont turn on, any help?

• yesterday it took a soft fall about 1ft drop .. and ever since i picked it up the keyboard light wont turn on! the screen is fune and so is the dim light. everything is fine except when i type anything the light wont turn on. i havent seen the light on the keyboard ever since i dont really know what to do and i cant exchange it.. i tried taking out the battery and all that

  You can attempt to do warranty exchange.They'll ask you what is wrong with the device.You can just say that the light on the keyboard is not working or trackball light.Don't mention you dropped it. Hopefully the warranty department will give you a replacement. If not you can ask Blackberry directly if they'll fix it.
